My grandmother was Mary Cobb and her husband was snippy cup from the bill Haynes show in the 50s. They own the cookhouse. I’m the granddaughter and I remember Mary Helen Hayes and buster always being around I’m 70 years old now and I was just wondering if anybody remembered them?

    • Leslie Hames Leutbecher on January 19, 2022 at 8:46 PM

Mary Hellen Brown (Hames) was my aunt. Buster Briwn my cousin. He was quite the businessman and pretty much ran the family business in the 70’s and the 80’s. He was also the president of the Showman’s Association for some time.

  14. Glenda Berryhill on July 4, 2017 at 10:07 AM

My uncle, Bill Berryhill, worked for the Bill Hames carnival. We always got to see him when the carnival was nearby; at Halloween & at the Fat Stock Show. It was fun because he would let us ride any ride we wanted for as long as we wanted. As kids, we loved this! He passed away in the late 60’s. Sunshine was one of his pallbearers. Our daddy, Ben Berryhill, had also worked for the carnival as a young boy. Growing up, he never allowed us to play games at any carnival or the State Fair. The only story that I remember daddy telling about was the boys diving off of Dolly Dimple, the fat lady.
